Class Critique
Beginning Photography was a fun class. there was good things about this class and a few bad things about this class. but overall i thought it was a good class. What's good was the fact that we actually get to use high end cameras and take nice clear and HD pictures. Some other photography classes use small square digital cameras and sucks. one bad thing about this class was that we had to learn how to use photoshop and all the tools inside all by ourselves if we didn't personally ask for help. other than that this class was fun. the variety of photos we took every week was interesting and always different. there wasnt a time i could remember that two projects or weeklies were the same as the past. what coulda made the class better was if we never switched classes multiple times and have less projects...

Did you know..... Notes
The Nikon D3100/3200/3300 is explained by John Greengo. He shows us the button layout of the cameras and what each button does. These cameras have features some others dont have. The video is an in depth tour of how to use the Nikon D3100. His hands on experience gives the best instructions to your cameras operations. These tips and guide will teach you what setting to use and when and where to use them, helping you take the best shot you can! The video is an hour long which i didnt watch the whole thing because i dont own a D3100 so i dont need to know ALL the features it has. But the information he gives is really good because he shows it from a TV screen behind him , The camera hands on, and uses a microphone near his face to have the best audio. The top deck has many features especially coming from the mode dial because there are 13 different little options you have just from the dial. From Flash, to no flash, Portrait, Child, Landscape, Sports , Close up and Night Portraits and more.

Look Read and Write Notes

I chose this photo because it was the only one i could do in class. The link was blocked and i dont have a proxy open it up anymore. But this photo has a lot of meaning to it for certain people. She seems as if she barely has enough to live off of and is living on the streets. No shoes, old pants/shirt and is sitting outside. Living like this would be hard and to me makes me realize how lucky i am to be where i am right now, have what i have right now and to not take things for granted. Photos like these make me feel like i should give back to people because i really have more than enough to live off of.

Aaron Chang
Aaron Chang Notes
Imperial Beach gets no respect: In this video i learned that Aaron Chang's most iconic picture was taken under the Imperial Beach pier. At night the lights of all different sources reflect off the water and make an array of different spectrums.
Supermoon: Aaron takes shots of the super moon when it is time to do so. He makes a mile hike to the Torrey Pines canyon while using a 600 mm lens, converter, and magnifying camera which ultimately creates a 1000 mm zoom.
Waves: One of chang's astounding pictures is created in the waters of Torrey Pines. Using his magnifying camera and a fisheye lens he swims out and takes breath taking pictures of breaking waves. While the lens creates a 360 degree effect, making everything in plain sight.
