How to take Better Pictures
- Read the camera's manual to learn what each control, switch button, and menu button does
- avoid red eye pictures
- Set the camera's resolution to take high quality photos at the highest resolution possible
- keep still!
- Start with setting your camera to one of its automatic modes, if you have a choice
- avoid blurry photos
- find photo opportunities by taking your camera everywhere!
- try new and interesting angles
- keep the lens clear of caps, thumbs, straps, and other obstructions
- review your pictures
- set your white balance
- set a slower ISO speed, if circumstances permit
- compose your shot thoughtfully
- ignore the advice above (could lead to boring photos so BREAK THOSE RULES SOMETIMES!)
- fill the frame with your subject
- consider using a tripod
- relax when you push the shutter button
