                                                           How to take Better Pictures

  • Read the camera's manual to learn what each control, switch button, and menu button does
  • avoid red eye pictures
  • Set the camera's resolution to take high quality photos at the highest resolution possible
  • keep still!
  • Start with setting your camera to one of its automatic modes, if you have a choice
  • avoid blurry photos
  • find photo opportunities by taking your camera everywhere!
  • try new and interesting angles
  • keep the lens clear of caps, thumbs, straps, and other obstructions
  • review your pictures
  • set your white balance
  • set a slower ISO speed, if circumstances permit
  • compose your shot thoughtfully
  • ignore the advice above (could lead to boring photos so BREAK THOSE RULES SOMETIMES!)
  • fill the frame with your subject
  • consider using a tripod
  • relax when you push the shutter button
